Volcan Puntiagudo (8169 feet elevation, or 2490 meters) rises above cattle pastures. As a person already familiar with the many Cascade volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest, I was still amazed by the larger number of spectacular and closely-spaced volcanoes along the spine of the Andes in Southern Chile.
